2017 Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc is a relative new comer to the Ontario wine scene. Ours is barrel fermented and aged but we don’t use very much new oak. The barrels add a richness and a creamy texture to the wine that makes this wine a little more complex. The 2017 season started out cool and rainy but finished warm and dry which was great for the Sauvignon Blanc. Our 2017 Sauvignon Blanc is pale straw in colour with a distinct green hue. Enjoy aromas of white grapefruit, lemon and a hint of barrel influence expressed as baking spice. On the palate this wine shows some weight and richness from the barrel, and is very fresh with a lovely crisp finish.
