Sand & Gravel

Cabernet Franc is becoming a signature grape from Ontario. This is one of the only wine region on the globe that bottle this variety on its own. It can often be found with its closest mates Merlot and Cabernet sauvignon. In Ontario we seem to have the right climate for this beauty to shine!

Tasting Note: This 2017 Sand & Gravel Cabernet Franc is a pretty ruby hue. It has aromas of ripe blue raspberries, red cedar and fresh rosemary. In the mouth it is warm and round. It has softer smoother tannins so it doesn’t dry your mouth out too much. It has a long, lingering finish.
Food Pairing: Grilled pork chops with rosemary and thyme would be great match for this medium bodied fruit forward red wine.
