2017 Chardonnay

The 2017 growing season started out wet and rainy. This is not great for growing grapes. On September 1 our luck changed and we enjoyed 25 straight days of warmth and sunshine. This saved the vintage! Our Chardonnay is a deep straw colour just like a field of wheat ready to harvest. It has a nose of lemon curd, butterscotch and warm bread pudding. On the palate it is fresher than expected and showing a nice line of acidity. It finishes with a lingering baking spice note.
