2010 Reserve Cabernet Franc Picone

The 2010 Reserve Cabernet Franc Picone Vineyard is the inaugural bottling of a wine produced through the co-operation between Chef Mark Picone and the winemaking team at Ravine Vineyard. Chef Picone has a small but well established planting of Cabernet Franc on his property in the Vinemount Ridge Appellation. His crew looks after the vines throughout the growing season, and then in the fall, Ravine hand-harvests the fruit and transforms it into a sensational wine. This voluptuous wine reflects the warm season with richness, ripe fruit flavours and intensity. The nose shows an array of aromatics, from dates to spice to chocolate, evolving in the glass. On the palate you will find a plush, full bodied Cabernet Franc with lots of berry, coffee and toasty notes, balanced acid, and a long, complex finish.
